The Amateur Football League has confirmed a fourteen-team A1 Semi-Pro League for 2026/27, with the season kicking off on 28 August.

Twelve clubs were confirmed in late July, with AAK Unisel FC and Imigresen FC II taking the two remaining places to reach the AFL’s target of fourteen. The expanded league runs to twenty-six matchweeks, each side meeting every opponent home and away.

The league opens on 28 August with Johor Darul Ta’zim II against USM FC. Kedah begin at home to Imigresen FC II the following night.
